This class is appropriate for students who have no experience with Iyengar Yoga and want to learn the basic asanas, actions and methodologies of Iyengar Yoga as well as Experienced Beginners.
What is Iyengar Yoga? Iyengar yoga is based on a method of demonstration and instruction by a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT). The use of props helps the beginner or less flexible student develop strength and stability, and allows the more advanced student to go deeper into the posture and practice. Each Iyengar Yoga class offers an intentional and unique sequencing of asanas that will provide an opening and awareness of the body, mind and spirit.
