Improv: Grades 8-12

This class taught by Carlos Ayala invites teens to sharpen their comedic instincts and stage presence through the art of improv. Using classic short-form games and ensemble exercises, students will develop spontaneity, storytelling skills, and the confidence to think on their feet. We’ll focus on key improv principles like active listening, agreement, character creation, and building scenes collaboratively. Whether new to improv or looking to grow, all students are welcome. The class wraps up with a showcase to show off their quick thinking and creativity.
