Off the Walls: teen vertical dance

Welcome to the world of vertical dance. Soar through space, rotate in the air, spin across the floor. Our teen class emphasizes individual empowerment within collaborative creativity. We will start with a foundation of safety and create a space of belonging. From there, students will learn the fundamentals of BANDALOOP vertical dance by exploring the dance surfaces of the BANDALOOP studio - running on walls, low-flying across the floor, flipping on the trampoline wall. Instruction will include vertical dance technique, composition and partnering. This workshop will facilitate safety awareness, creative expression, coordination, confidence, and collaboration. A showing of student work and progress will happen on Friday, May 17th in the early evening. All gear will be supplied. No experience necessary.
