Advanced Ballet & Pre-point

Ages: 9+, or by permission Requirement: Traditional ballet attire: ballet slippers, hair pulled off the face; Girls: leotard, tights; Boys: t-shirt, boys tights Students learn advanced ballet terminology, steps, transitions and choreography. A graceful, theatrical art form of unique traditions and techniques, requiring immense precision, focus, and athleticism. A blend of modern, contemporary and classical ballet styles and techniques explained including historical background. Students start pre-pointe exercises in November. This class is required for Junior Competition Team participants. Dance Recital: May 17-19. Dress Rehearsal: May 15.
