If you’ve ever wondered what those long, styrofoam cylinders are hanging around the gym, this class is for you. If you incorporate foam rolling as a regular part of your wellness regimen, this class is also for you! We will explore the many ways in which you can use foam rolling as an affordable alternative to massage.
We will use the foam roller as a form of myofascial release, which both improves flexibility and range of motion, and reduces muscle soreness and stress. We will also use the foam roller as an element that targets stability, core strength and overall injury prevention. Through a combination of Pilates, PT-based exercises and functional training, this hour-long class will demystify the foam roller so that you can incorporate it into your own individual practice.
