These classes are for adults with previous ballet training and solid technique. Adults should have an understanding of basic ballet steps, body positions, and port de bras. The intermediate dancer can follow basic petit and grande allegro combinations and is now ready to be introduced to more advanced ballet technique. Ability to process more complicated sequences, execute barre exercises with greater speed and accuracy and coordinate arm and leg movements smoothly. Centre floor work requires a greater ability to use core strength and balance and incorporates more challenging petit and grand allegro steps and turns. At this level, more complicated steps are broken down into component parts and combinations are reviewed as much as necessary.
