Acting for Theatre in Español Fall 2017

This course is designed for those actors, actresses and people interested in performing arts. The objective is to learn how to interpret a dramatic text on stage in Spanish. Students will learn articulation strategies, voice projection strategies, and intentionality of a dramatic play. PASA is building the foundation of a new Performing art tradition: Theater in Spanish, and you can be part of this historical beginning! It is never late to live your passion for acting in Spanish! This course is open for young adults and adults. The only requirement is being fluent in reading and speaking Spanish since the workshop instruction will be delivered in Spanish as well as the plays. Ages 13 and up. Hidie Cabral, MA, is an international actress, director, and theater teacher. She has earned her B.A. in Performing Arts (specialty in acting) in México, her Post Degree in Chile at Teatro la Casa Institute (specialty in Theatrical Pedagogy) and her MA in Bilingual Bicultural Studies at UTSA. Cabral has performed, directed, and taught acting in México, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Recently, she was part of the adult classes and performances at PASA, where she was directed by Paul Tinder, founder of the organization.
